A modern virtual airline is much more than a route network and an aircraft fleet. Behind NordFly are several interconnected systems that organise flight operations, automate administrative processes and make everyday life as convenient as possible for our pilots.
From joining the airline and planning flights to installing liveries and recording and evaluating flights, our systems work together. We combine established software and our own extensions with applications developed entirely in-house, such as the NordFly Group Installer™.
Our systems are technically extensive and offer many features that we cannot present in detail on this page. Instead, we want to give you a clear insight into their most important functions and how they work together.
Discord – The heart of our community
Our Discord server is the beating heart of NordFly, meeting place and infrastructure in one: this is where our pilots talk, organise group flights and hear all the news – and where your membership begins.
- Built-in connectionA special feature is the direct link between our Discord server and the OperationCenter, so much of it runs automatically.
- Registration with a Discord codeYour Discord account is linked to your pilot profile during registration through our system integrations.

OperationCenter – The central platform for your flight operations
The OperationCenter, or OPC, is our central web application. From choosing a flight to planning and evaluation, it accompanies you through your virtual pilot life.
- Central platformFlight planning, flying, evaluation and profile management are combined in one central web application: the OperationCenter.
- Flight statisticsFrom accepted flight reports, the system calculates flight hours, flight performance and personal statistics.
- Profile managementYour personal data, airline memberships and requests are managed centrally through your pilot profile.
- Flight planningThe entire route network is stored in the OperationCenter. Flights can be searched and booked by various criteria.
- Departure BoardThe Departure Board shows changing flight suggestions from our seasonal summer and winter schedule.
- SimBrief integrationSimBrief is fully integrated into the OperationCenter. Flight plans can be created directly for selected flights or free flights.
- Tours & eventsAirline tours and events are built right in. The system records your participation and your progress.
- Awards & ranksThe system manages pilot ranks, career progress and awards for flight performance, tours and loyalty.

The NordFly Group Installer™ is developed entirely in-house and a true NordFly highlight. Install and update liveries and add-ons in just a few clicks – in English or German.

ACARS – Professional flight tracking and evaluation
Since 2026 we record our flights with Stratos ACARS by Skyvexsoftware – from departure to landing. Afterwards, you submit your flight report to the OperationCenter (OPC).
- InterfaceACARS links your flight simulator to the OPC and transmits your flight data.
- Departure to landingYour entire flight is recorded – including route, altitudes and relevant flight events.
- Flight dataFlight times, speeds, fuel burn and other parameters are documented during the flight.
- Flight report (PIREP)After landing, you can submit your recorded flight report (PIREP) to the OperationCenter.
- Flight scoringOur fully in-house flight scoring automatically checks recorded flight data against our rules.
- Flight monitoringAmong other things, the system checks your landing rate and whether you keep to permitted taxi speeds.
- AnalysisUnstable approaches, fuel changes, multiple touchdowns and increased sim rate are detected too.
- ScoringDepending on the type and severity of any deviations found, points are deducted automatically or the flight report is rejected.
- ATC overrideOn VATSIM or IVAO flights, certain deviations can be accepted when they follow ATC instructions.
- Flight statisticsThe submitted flight reports form the basis for your personal statistics and further analysis in the OPC.
