Joining NordFly

From registration to your first flight: learn how to join NordFly through Discord and our OperationCenter. We'll guide you through each step and show you where to find help.

Easy to get started

An easy start. Taking off together.

Would you like to become part of our virtual airline? We'd love to have you!

Before you register with NordFly, we want to explain how registration works, what happens after your account is activated and how we support you during your first steps.

We want your first steps to be as simple, clear and straightforward as possible. Because what you really want to do is: Fly and enjoy flight simulation together with our community.

We know that few people enjoy endless manuals, complicated registration processes or lengthy rulebooks. That is why we have continually simplified registration and designed our system to make joining NordFly as straightforward as possible.

Still, flight simulation requires some preparation and initiative. When multiple systems work together and flights are intended to be realistic, some instructions, procedures and rules are unavoidable.

But don't worry: you don't have to know or be able to do everything from the start. We'll support you from registration to your first flight – and beyond.

That includes detailed step-by-step instructions, an integrated AI assistant, a dedicated Discord channel for new members and experienced mentors who are happy to help with questions.

You don't have to work through all the information alone. We'll show you where to find answers.

Registration

Your NordFly registration.

The first step towards NordFly starts on our Discord server, the central communication platform for our virtual airline.

Our pilots meet there, share experiences, help each other and receive important information about flight operations.

That is why registration starts on Discord.

Step 1 of 8
  1. First, join our official NordFly Discord server. After joining, you will find information and the steps needed to register.

    Open Discord →
  2. On Discord, open the channel 👋ᴡɪʟʟᴋᴏᴍᴍᴇɴ-ᴡᴇʟᴄᴏᴍᴇ. Use the button there to change your displayed name. Please enter your real first name so that we can address you personally.

  3. Next, open the channel 🔓ʀᴇɢɪꜱᴛᴇʀ-ᴄᴏᴅᴇ. Use its button to generate your personal registration code. You will need it for the registration form.

  4. Below the button for generating your code is another button leading to our registration page. This is where the actual registration begins.

  5. The registration page starts with a short introduction and takes you through the main requirements for NordFly membership. Please read them carefully.

    View requirements →
  6. Enter the code you generated on Discord in the appropriate field to continue.

  7. Now complete all the required fields carefully. Check your information once more before sending the form.

  8. Once you submit your registration, we will email you a confirmation link. Open the message and confirm your email address. Your registration is now initially complete!

Account activation

We review your registration.

Done! We've received your registration. We'll take it from here.

A team member will review your details and check whether you meet the membership requirements. Because this is done personally, your account will not be activated immediately after registration.

Once your registration has been reviewed and approved, we'll notify you in two ways:

DiscordPersonal bot message

Our NordFly bot will notify you directly when your account is activated.

EmailActivation confirmation

You will also receive an email explaining your next steps.

Both messages include a direct link to your onboarding.

Welcome aboard NordFly!
Onboarding

Your onboarding – getting ready to fly.

After activation, technical onboarding begins. The aim is to install the software you need to plan, operate and record your NordFly flights.

Don't worry: we'll guide you through this step by step as well. Our onboarding page includes the relevant instructions and explains which programs you need and how to install them.

NordFly software

NordFly Group Installer™

First, you install our NordFly Group Installer™, a program developed entirely by NordFly Group Airlines. This central installer provides extensions for your flight simulator, including our airline liveries, cabin announcements and other content.

The installer makes installing and managing these extensions much easier.

Flight recording

Stratos ACARS

Next, install our flight-recording application Stratos ACARS. Stratos accompanies your flights and records relevant data, including your route, various flight parameters and the subsequent flight evaluation.

Your completed flights are documented and evaluated using this data.

Once both programs are installed and configured according to the instructions, you are technically ready for your first NordFly flight. The technical preparation is done – just one important step remains.
SOPs

Our SOPs – your guide to flight operations.

Before your first NordFly flight, you should familiarise yourself with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) .

Our SOPs are the central reference for all flight operations. They explain in detail and step by step how our systems work, how to prepare, conduct and finish a flight, and which rules apply.

We have made a conscious effort to explain each process as clearly and accessibly as possible.

Lots to read?

Yes. Complicated?
Not at all!

Illustration of a pilot with an SOP checklist

When you open our SOPs for the first time, you'll notice that they are quite comprehensive. Please don't let that put you off!

They are comprehensive because we want to explain each function and process in detail. Rather than presenting a few bullet points without context, we walk you through how things work and what matters.

You don't have to memorise everything right away. What matters is understanding the basic procedures and knowing where to look things up. Experienced pilots also use our SOPs regularly as a reference.

Think of our SOPs not as an obstacle but as your personal companion in flight operations.

AI assistant

Questions? Our AI assistant is here to help!

Sometimes questions come up as you read, or you cannot immediately find what you need. That's why we have integrated a dedicated AI assistant into our SOPs page. You'll find it at the bottom right.

Ask your questions in your own words, just as you would ask another community member for help.

The assistant finds relevant information, explains connections and points you to the appropriate parts of our SOPs.

That means you don't have to search every chapter to find an answer.

“How do I plan my first flight?”
“How does flight recording with Stratos work?”
“Which landing rules must I follow?”
“How does flight evaluation work?”
“Where can I find our aircraft rules?”

Our AI assistant helps you find the right answer. And if something is still unclear, personal support is always available.

Newbie Chat

Our Newbie Chat – finding solutions together.

Not every question can be answered by reading instructions. Sometimes it is easier to ask someone who knows the process or has experienced a similar problem.

That is why we have created a dedicated area for new members on our Discord server.

Nobody has to know everything, and nobody should feel embarrassed about asking questions.Everyone started somewhere – even our most experienced members.
Personal support

That way, you have someone to contact even with more difficult questions or technical problems.
