NordFly is a virtual airline from Germany and the largest fictional virtual airline in the German-speaking region. As one of the most active communities in flight simulation, NordFly stands for flying together, exchanging ideas, and maintaining a strong presence on IVAO and VATSIM.

Since its foundation in Hamburg in 2020, NordFly has established itself firmly within the flight simulation scene and is an official partner airline of IVAO and VATSIM. Thousands of flights and a steadily growing community make NordFly a central destination for virtual pilots.

As a virtual airline, NordFly gives you maximum freedom when choosing your routes. Plan your own flights or choose from more than 1,700 connections to over 180 destinations worldwide.

A regularly updated summer and winter schedule also adds variety and further expands the route network across Germany, Europe, and beyond.

NordFly is a certified partner airline of IVAO and VATSIM and supports modern technologies such as SayIntentionsAI for an even more immersive flying experience.

Whether offline, on the IVAO and VATSIM networks, or with AI-powered ATC communication through SayIntentionsAI, NordFly gives you the freedom to fly the way that suits you best.

NordFly Group Airlines is a virtually operated aviation group consisting of NordFly, NordFly Cargo, and FlyHoliday Airlines. Each airline follows its own concept: NordFly as a premium carrier, NordFly Cargo as a cargo airline, and FlyHoliday as a leisure airline.

As a pilot at NordFly, you benefit from the flexibility to also fly for the other airlines within the group.¹

¹ To be eligible to fly for the other airlines within the group, 10 accepted flights are required.

Our Discord server is the heart of our community. This is where all pilots of the virtual NordFly Group Airlines come together to connect, share screenshots, take part in screenshot contests, plan group flights, join events, or simply chat in the evening.

Thanks to our strong community, you’ll usually receive support and help within minutes whenever you have questions or run into issues.

Since 2026, NordFly has been setting new standards in virtual aviation.

As the first and currently only virtual airline, we offer our own exclusively developed installer.

This allows our pilots to install liveries and software with a single click for MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, as well as X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 12 – fast, convenient, and completely hassle-free.

No manual copying, no searching for files – install, launch, and fly.

A key unique feature of our virtual airline is that only actively flying pilots are part of our community.

We ensure this through our quarterly flight requirement, which obligates every pilot to complete at least five flights per quarter.

No worries: Once a year, you have the option to activate a quarterly exemption – for example, during vacations or other personal commitments.
Additionally, the third quarter of each year serves as our official summer break.

• You are at least 16 years old.
• You are proficient in flying at least one aircraft from our fleet (excluding GA aircraft).
• You have solid knowledge of IFR standard procedures such as SID, STAR, ILS, RNAV, and LOC.
• You have access to current navigation charts and AIRAC data.
• You complete at least 5 flights per quarter.
• You have a valid Discord account and have joined our Discord server.
• After your account is activated, you complete a successful and accepted first flight within 7 days.
• You are not actively flying for any other virtual airline.¹

¹ If you are already a member of another virtual airline, a conversation on our Discord server is required beforehand to determine whether membership with us is possible.
