Meet the Team of NordFly Group Airlines!
Dear Visitor,
On this page, we would like to introduce you to the team behind NordFly Group Airlines.
Without these dedicated individuals — who devote their free time with passion, commitment, creativity, and expertise to our virtual airline project — smooth operations would simply be unthinkable.
As the founder, I am all the more proud, grateful, and fulfilled that we’ve been able to build and shape these projects together over the years.
Over time, a team has emerged that feels like a family — characterized by flat hierarchies, mutual respect, and the freedom to contribute personal strengths and ideas.
It’s precisely this family-like collaboration that enables us to operate without rigid structures or voting systems. What unites us is a shared belief:
“These are our virtual airlines — our shared project.”
I feel deep gratitude for this spirit of togetherness.
Thank you for making NordFly Group Airlines what it is today:
A truly unique virtual airline group, wholeheartedly dedicated to its hobby and its community.

Bastjan Alan James Schmidt
Moin! I work professionally as a paramedic, but a large part of my free time has been dedicated to flight simulation for many years.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the idea emerged to found our own virtual airline – NordFly.
What originally started as a small living room project in Hamburg gradually developed over the years into an entire airline group with multiple concepts and a growing community — today the largest and most active fictional virtual airline group in Germany.
With this growth, I took on the role of virtual CEO of NordFly Group Airlines. Today, my main focus lies on the strategic development of the airline group as well as the technical advancement of our systems.
As the lead developer and programmer, I continuously work on the platform, internal tools, and custom extensions around our system.
My goal is to create a stable, independent, and innovative environment for our community, where aviation enthusiasts can connect and enjoy their shared passion for flight simulation.

I work full-time as a paramedic, am a father, and a passionate sim pilot in MSFS – primarily flying on the VATSIM network, but also on IVAO.
As a close friend of Bastjan, I’ve been involved in the development of the virtual airline NordFly from the very beginning, taking on various roles and helping shape its direction.
Outside of flight simulation, I’m also passionate about model aviation and Formula 1.

G’moie,
my name is Billy (born in 1999) and I’m from the Hunsrück region in Germany, working as a tax auditor for the local tax office. At home, two cuddly cats make sure there’s a good balance to everyday life.
I’ve been active in flight simulation since 2020, mainly flying in MSFS 2020 and regularly on VATSIM.
In December 2023, I joined the NordFly community and today I am CEO of NordFly Cargo, where I actively contribute to the airline’s ongoing development.

Servus, I’m Julian — a born and proud Swabian and a father of two.
My aviation roots lie in simulated military aviation. About two years ago, I discovered civil aviation for myself and quickly developed a particular passion for cargo airlines.
Pallets may not applaud after landing, but at least they stay quiet when the ride gets a little bumpy.
Since March 2026, I have been a permanent member of the NordFly Group Airlines Headquarters as Co-CEO of NordFly Cargo.
CEO
Chief Executive Officer FlyHoliday Airlines
Michael Vering
Hi, I’m Michael.
I work full-time in my own metal construction company. I started flight simulation around 2015, back then on Prepar3D, and today I mainly fly on MSFS 2024.
Most of my flights are on IVAO, but you will also find me on VATSIM from time to time.
In my spare time, I am very interested in motorsport and regularly visit truck shows, which is my second big hobby alongside flight simulation.
I have been part of NordFly Group Airlines since December 2025, and since March 2026 I have taken on the role of CEO of FlyHoliday Airlines within the NordFly Group.

I’ve been passionate about flying for as long as I can remember. I was sitting in a virtual cockpit from an early age — starting with FSX and later transitioning to MSFS. For several years now, I’ve also been flying in real life and hold a Private Pilot License (PPL).
In September 2024, I found my virtual aviation home with NordFly / FlyHoliday and have since been flying primarily under the callsign “Holiday” on VATSIM.
Outside the flight simulator, I work as a professional firefighter and paramedic.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, following football and Formula 1, and playing the guitar.

I’m a professional pilot at one of the world’s largest express freight and logistics companies.
Every day, I operate air cargo across Europe in the Boeing 757 — precisely, reliably, and often during the night while others are asleep.
My passion for cargo operations also extends into virtual aviation — especially within the NordFly Group, where I can combine my professional expertise with my hobby.
As a close friend and former colleague of Bastjan, I’ve been part of the NordFly project since its very beginning.

Hi,
my name is Benny, born in 2000, a proud guy from Kaiserslautern, and I work full-time in internal administration at the tax office.
Aviation has fascinated me from a very young age. For example, I was already sitting in front of the PC flying FS2004 under my dad’s guidance. Through a good friend and fellow student (Billy), I became aware of NordFly and ultimately decided to join in October 2025. I am now happy to support the team as a mentor.
Besides flying, I stay very active in my free time, enjoying sports such as running, cycling, and tennis, and I also love traveling around the world.

Dennis de Weryha
Hi, I’m Dennis and I’ve been flying with NordFly since 2025. In real life, I work as an emergency paramedic in Hamburg – teamwork, staying calm, and working in a structured way are part of my daily routine and also help me in the simulator.
My virtual home is MSFS, and you’ll usually find me on VATSIM. I mainly fly the A320 family. Realistic procedures are important to me, as well as the community and shared events.
As a mentor, I want to show new pilots how exciting and varied flying in the simulator can be – learning procedures, becoming more confident, and always keeping the fun part in mind.
I’m looking forward to many flights together with you!

Mark Dominik Wille
Hello, my name is Mark. I’m in my mid-twenties and live near the beautiful Hanseatic city of Lübeck. Outside of my activities as a hobby pilot, I work within the emergency services community for the state of Schleswig-Holstein.
Since June 2025, I have been flying as a pilot for NordFly Group Airlines, most often in the cockpit of the A320 family. Besides the realistic yet highly customizable operations within the airline, the community aspect is especially important to me.
My interest in aviation was sparked at a very young age through family influences. I first got into flight simulation many years ago with FS2004, later moving on to FSX. After a longer break, I am now actively flying again with MSFS 2020.
Since February 2026, I have had the pleasure of supporting the great team behind the community as a Mentor. I look forward to connecting with new pilots and sharing many enjoyable flights together.

Sebastian Schießl
Hello everyone,
my name is Sebastian, I’m in my mid-twenties, from Munich, and I work as a construction project manager.
My enthusiasm for aviation has been with me since childhood. What once started as fascination while watching aircraft at the airport or looking up at the sky has now become my hobby through flight simulation. In virtual aviation, I can pursue this passion while also escaping everyday life for a while.
Within the virtual airline, what matters most to me is the sense of community, teamwork, and mutual support. For me, it’s not only about the joy of flying, but also about the exchange with other pilots and the shared experiences.
I’m looking forward to many flights together and a great time with all of you!
